Snowball is built to work without an account or a Snowball server. This policy explains what stays on your device and what the website host may process.
Who operates Snowball
Snowball is operated by Samuel Uy. Questions about this policy can be sent to uy.samuel.a@gmail.com.
App data stays on your device
Tasks, recurring tasks, task details, profile preferences, focus history, momentum, and app settings are stored locally on your iPhone. Snowball does not require an account and does not send this data to Snowball servers.
Optional calendar access
If you enable Calendar Constraints, Snowball requests access to calendar events and reads event start and end times to find work that fits between meetings. Snowball does not change calendar events and does not send event information to Snowball servers. You can disable access in Snowball or in iOS Settings.
Apple Intelligence
On supported devices and locales, Snowball may use Apple's Foundation Models framework to suggest tasks, shape work, or create a draft breakdown. These features use Apple's on-device model through system frameworks. Snowball does not send task text to its own servers. When Apple Intelligence is unavailable, Snowball uses a deterministic local fallback.
Notifications and Live Activities
If enabled, reminders and Focus Live Activities are created through Apple's local system frameworks. Snowball does not use a push notification server or a remote Live Activity service.
No app tracking or advertising
The Snowball app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or cross-app tracking. Snowball does not sell personal information.
Deleting app data
Use Reset all local data in Snowball Settings to remove tasks, recurring tasks, focus history, and the local profile from the device. Deleting the app also removes its local data, subject to iOS backup behavior controlled by Apple.
Website hosting
This website has no analytics, advertising, account system, contact form, or marketing cookies. It is hosted by Vercel, which may process basic request data such as IP address, device information, and access logs to deliver and protect the site. Vercel handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Children
Snowball is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Snowball's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when that happens.
